Andrew Gene Shain

Andrew Gene Shain, age 37, of St. Petersburg, Fla., passed away Thursday, March 7, 2019 at St. Anthony’s Hospital in St. Petersburg.  He was born on December 19, 1981 in Anniston, Ala. to Nancy S. Shain and Eastman G. Foster.

Andrew was a 2000 graduate of Poplar Bluff High School and attended Three Rivers Community College.  He was Senior Systems Engineer for Community Brands in St. Petersburg, an officer in the St. Petersburg Masonic Lodge No. 139 F. & A.M., and a Sergeant in the U.S. Army Reserves. He loved piloting single engine airplanes, all things computer related, reading, video games, and cats. Survivors include daughter, Trinity Shain, of Ft. Myers, Fla.; mother, Nancy Shain, of Cape Girardeau, Mo.; grandfather, M. Gene Shain, of Fisk, Mo.; wife, Megan Shain, of St. Petersburg; sister, Kendra Foster Mitchell, of Atlanta, Ga.; two aunts, Jane Shain of Gulf Shores, Ala., and Peggy Kitchen of Cape Girardeau; and six cousins.

He was preceded in death by his father, Eastman Foster, of Cape Girardeau.

A memorial service will be held on a date not yet determined at Shain Memorial Cemetery in Ash Hill, Mo.
