City firefighters responded at 8:12 a.m. Tuesday to a gas leak at the Poplar Bluff Police Department at 1111 S. Poplar Street.
According to the report, firefighters received a call from the PBPD stating they had a natural gas odor in their parking lot.
Firefighters went to check the area and found the gas meter going into the building had a small leak. Spire Energy was called to the area and the leak was repaired.

City firefighters responded at 1:08 a.m. Tuesday to report of a smoke detector activation at 419 N. G Street.
According to the report, firefighters received a phone call from the occupant, Carrie Alcorn, stating there was no fire.
Upon arrival, firefighters saw nothing showing and at the time they went inside, no smoke detectors were going off.
Firefighters checked the residents and found no fire and advised occupants should call housing maintenance and have the detectors checked.
