City firefighters responded at 9:35 a.m. Thursday to an assist at 641 Lindsay Street.

According to the report, firefighters were requested by Medic One to help get a wheelchair bound patient up a flight of stairs. Firefighters assisted EMS then cleared the scene.

City firefighters responded at 9:20 a.m. Thursday to an odor at Cosmo Prof at 2194 N. Westwood Boulevard.

According to the report, upon arrival firefighters noticed one of the fluorescent lights in the business was not working. Firefighters used a thermal imaging camera and found it was warmer than the others and was not working.

Firefighters removed the bulbs and opened the fixture to find the ballast had overheated and that likely caused the smell.

The occupants stated an electrician would be at the business around noon to fix the light.
