FISK, Mo. — Lois Cunningham, age 88, of Fisk, died Wednesday, January 16, 2019 at her residence, in Fisk. Mrs. Cunningham was born September 20, 1930, daughter of the late Oliver “Pat” and Louise Duggins. She was a lifetime member of Ash Hill General Baptist Church. She had worked for over 30 years at the State Bank of Fisk. Mrs. Cunningham was very active in community events and had been a member of the Community Betterment Council and volunteered at the nutrition center and many other community events. She was an avid bowler, enjoyed flower gardening and Cardinals baseball. On November 8, 1947 she married James “Tom” Cunningham. He preceded her in death on July 13, 1989. She is survived by one son; Ted Cunningham and wife Joyce of Fisk, two granddaughters; Jenny Hester and husband Shaun of Broseley and Amy Sellers and husband Roy of Nixa, Mo., four great grandchildren; Ellie & Luke Hester and Blake & Beckett Sellers and one sister; Roma Dortch of Fisk. She was preceded in death by four brothers; Rodney, Buck, Monk and Earlene. Visitation will begin at 6 p.m. on Saturday, January 19 at White-Sanders Funeral Home in Fisk. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. on Sunday, January 20 in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Gary Hancock officiating. Burial will be in Shain Memorial Cemetery.
