City firefighters responded at 2:48 p.m. Friday to report of subject trapped in an elevator at 100 N. Main St., the Butler County Courthouse. According to the report, upon arrival, firefighters found the subject had already got out of the elevator on their own. Witness statements indicated the elevator had temporarily stopped prior to arriving on the first floor, but was now working properly...

City firefighters responded at 2:48 p.m. Friday to report of subject trapped in an elevator at 100 N. Main St., the Butler County Courthouse.

According to the report, upon arrival, firefighters found the subject had already got out of the elevator on their own. Witness statements indicated the elevator had temporarily stopped prior to arriving on the first floor, but was now working properly.

County firefighters responded at 5:05 p.m. Sunday to a roadside on County Road 607.

According to the report, a small trash pile was burning.

City firefighters responded at 1:27 a.m. Monday to open the building at 430 Vine St. for emergency-medical-services personnel.

According to the report, an occupant had fallen in his/her first-floor apartment and couldn’t get up. The person wanted to go to the hospital.

Firefighters assisted EMS in loading the person onto a stretcher and into an ambulance.

City firefighters responded at 2:54 p.m. Sunday to a report of someone burning plastic in the area of Cliff and Clyde streets.

According to the report, firefighters found an unauthorized burn at the 1006 Clyde residence occupied by Ashley Pakula.

Firefighters reportedly told Pakula about the city’s burn ordinance, and she put out the fire.

City firefighters responded at 9:18 a.m. Sunday to a motor-vehicle crash at the intersection of North Westwood Boulevard and Shelby Road.

According to the report, firefighters assisted emergency-medical-services in getting a vehicle occupant onto a stretcher.

Firefighters reportedly stood by until the vehicles were removed and used five gallons of water to remove a small amount of leaked antifreeze from the road.
