LADUE, Mo. -- Poplar Bluff put together several consideration sate cuts in its season-opener at the Ladue Invitational on Saturday in Ladue.
The 200 medley of Audrey Cisne, Elizabeth Anders, Paige Bradley and Raegan McAtee finished third for a consideration state cut, as the the team of Jessica rush, Addison Kirkman, Carly Wiseman and Emryn Smith, who finished 19th.
Bradley also got a consideration cut in the 50 free after finishing second, while McAtee got consideration cuts in the 100 butterfly and the 100 backstroke, where she got third and seventh, respectively.
"As much as we have been training, I was completely shocked to see the times that were produced today," Poplar Bluff coach Beth Lewis-Muse said. "The girls are further along speed wise than what the coaches expected and could not have been more proud! I believe we are off to a great start."
Poplar Bluff had four swimmers in the top seven in the 25 freestyle, with none earning a consideration cut. Bradley got seecond with McAtee finishing third, Kirkman getting fifth and Cisne in seventh.
Bradley also finished in eighth place in the diving competition.
