NAYLOR -- Makenna Moore broke a 4-all tie in the seventh inning with an RBI double to give East Carter (17-5) its first lead of the day against Naylor, and another run in the seventh secured a 6-4 win for the Redbirds. Moore pitched six innings and struck out three, allowing just one hit after relieving Jordan Moore after an inning. Makenna and Bailey Gargac batted in a pair of runs apiece. Naylor went scoreless the final six innings after scoring four in the first, opening the door for East Carter to win its 11th in a row.

Van Buren 7, Alton 3

The top three spots in the Lady Dawg lineup, Hailie Hampton, Gracie Chilton and Brooke Jackson, all had two hits and scored twice. Jackson also finished with three of Van Buren's six RBIs. Hampton pitched in the win and allowed three hits and two walks with six strikeouts.

West County 7, Van Buren 4

Hailie Hampton allowed 12 hits and seven runs through 4 2/3 innings for the Lady Dawgs. Gracie Chilton and Lanae Flowers each had two hits. Flowers also got two RBIs and Chilton scored twice.

Monday's Games

BASEBALL

Naylor 5, East Carter 2

Eli Roark's pitching held East Carter at bay long enough for the Naylor bats to get going. Roark pitched five scoreless innings, gave up just two runs and allowed three hits as Naylor (10-3) took down East Carter (13-5) Monday. Offensively, Matt Rigdon led the way for the Eagles with two hits and a pair of runs scored.

Greenville 8, Lesterville 3

Jason Bratton had a day at the plate Monday. He went 3-for-4 and tallied three RBIs as Greenville (10-5) pulled away from Lesterville (1-12) late with four runs in the sixth inning. Bratton helped set the tone with a two-run homer in the third inning. Alex Hicks pitched a complete game, striking out four and allowing five hits.

Advance 5, Bernie 0

Hunter Curtis and the Advance (10-7) defense handed Bernie (11-5) just its second shutout loss of the season Monday. Curtis went all seven innings on the mound. He struck out six and surrendered three hits. Ridley Bailey drove in a pair of runs with a double, and Noah Sauceda added a solo home run.

Campbell 3, South Pemiscot 1

Ben Barnett shouldered a lot of the load for Campbell in its win over South Pemiscot Monday. He pitched the whole game and struck out five, allowing four hits and an earned run. Offensively, Barnett recorded two of Campbell's four hits and one of the team's two RBIs. Blake Fowler knocked in the other run and scored one of his own.

SOFTBALL

Neelyville 8, Cape Central 1

Payton Reinbott struck out eight in a complete game pitching performance against Cape Central (2-11), allowing just one run and two hits. Lexus Hagood led the way for the offense with two hits and as many runs scored. Bailey McGruder knocked in two runs, while Neelyville (11-6) pulled away by scoring five in the third inning.
