Early bird pricing for the Women Aware Conference on Sept. 20 featuring keynote speaker Egypt Sherrod, host of HGTV's "Flipping Virgins" and "Property Virgins, ends Monday.

"We are getting ready for this year's conference and we want everyone to know our early bird pricing will be ending on Monday, but you can still get tickets online up until a few days before the conference," Conference Director Meredith Rines said. "I encourage everyone who wants to attend to go ahead and get their ticket at the lower price to save money.

"Right now the price is $40, but starting Tuesday the price will jump to $50. As someone who loves a good bargain, I know that extra $10 could be used to buy something fun from one of the local vendors the day of the conference."

The fee for the event held in the Black River Coliseum in Poplar Bluff includes a meal by Tasteful Creations, a day of networking with other attendees, booth holders and an opportunity to pick from the break-out session speakers who will share their perspective, knowledge, and insight on a variety of topics ranging from womanhood, business, marriage, finances, and other practical and uplifting topics of interest.

"This is our 31st year to bring the Women Aware conference to our community. As a committee, we love being able to plan a day filled with fun, learning and networking for our area's women," Rines said.

"We have been working diligently to bring a keynote speaker of high caliber that we know our community will relate to, enjoy and feel inspired from," Rines added. "That's why we are so excited to have Egypt Sherrod speak this year. We know Egypt Sherrod will bring her insightful, engaging and motivational energy with her to the conference. I would imagine most of us have seen her on HGTV's "Flipping Virgins" or "Property Virgins" and it's going to be surreal to see her in our community and at the Women Aware conference."

Committee members believe Sherrod is the perfect speaker to focus attention on this year's theme -- Passion With Purpose Leads You Home.

In 2008, Sherrod founded The Egypt Cares Family Foundation which is a non-profit dedicated to financial empowerment and awareness. The main focus of the organization is to educate both men and women about the importance of wealth preservation and home ownership. The foundation's work has been successful, earning her many praises including the Mission Award from WEEN (Women in Entertainment Empowerment Network) and several proclamations from Brooklyn President Marty Markowitz for her "Egypt Cares Give Back Tour," an annual coat and toy drive. Sherrod has received the Humanitarian Citation from the Borough of New York, State Assembly Citation as a Humanitarian and Community Advocate, as well as the New York City Council Citation for Community Service.
