BLOOMFIELD -- Bailey Below's solid all-around play helped the Bloomfield Wildcats sweep SCAA foe Richland 25-16, 25-11 Tuesday night in a volleyball match at Bloomfield.
Below had eight kills, five digs, four assists, three service aces and two kill-blocks.
Lilly Warrick had four kills and three digs, and Molly Below had three service aces and three digs.
Creylee Huddleston had seven assists and five digs, and Karsynn Phillips had 10 digs for the Wildcats who improved to 2-0.
Bloomfield won the junior varsity match 25-23, 25-12.
Baseball
Bernie 9, Advance 8
The Bernie Mules scored five runs in the seventh inning Tuesday and posted a walk-off win over the Advance Hornets in a matchup of two SCAA baseball teams at Bernie.
The Mules (4-1) fell behind 6-0 before scoring four runs in the third. Advance scored two in the fifth to extend its lead to 8-4 in the sixth.
In the seventh, Jaden McGowan was hit by a pitch with the bases loaded. John Nimmo singled home two runs. McGowan scored the tying run on a wild pitch, and Johnny Vaughn scored the winning run on an error by the catcher.
Weston Zoll was the winning pitcher, allowing three runs on five hits with three strikeouts and no walks in 5 1/3 innings.
Zoll led the Mules with two hits, and Nimmo had a team-high three RBIs.
Senath-Hornersville 2, Campbell 1
Two runs in the third inning were enough to seize victory for Senath-Hornersville against Campbell. A double by Cameron Ruth drove in both of the Lions' runs in the inning. Ruth, Knolan Hunter and Jose Andrade registered the only hits for the Lions, each earning one. Campbell doubled up Senath-Hornersville on hits, but stranded nine runners on base.
Clearwater 21,
Naylor 2 (4 inn)
After a scoreless first inning from both sides, the Clearwater offense exploded Tuesday. Jessie Holmes led the team with three hits and four RBIs as the visitors totaled eight runs in both the second and third innings and added another five in the fourth to end the game via run rule. Nathan Maughan matched Holmes for the team lead in RBIs with four of his own. Clearwater put up 10 hits and 16 RBIs on the day, handing Naylor its first loss of the season.
Ellington 5, East Carter 3
Southern Reynolds scored all five of its runs in the first two innings of Tuesday's game against East Carter. Cody Hampton led the Redbirds on the mound with 10 strikeouts in six innings pitched. He gave up just three earned runs and walked three. In the batter's box, Hampton led East Carter with two hits and a run scored on the day, making four plate appearances and drawing one walk. East Carter stranded six on base while Southern Reynolds left seven on.

East Prairie 0 (6 inn)
East Carter climbed back over .500 Tuesday with a shutout vicory over East Prairie. Makenna and Jordan Moore combined to throw a no-hitter for the Redbirds. Makenna struckout nine and Jordan added a strikeout of her own. East Carter tallied 14 hits at the plate, led by Anna Willis with three. Jordan Moore and Bailey Gargac led East Carter with two RBIs apiece as the Redbirds improved to 5-4 on the season.
Sikeston 10, Perryville 6
Seventeen hits powered Sikeston past Perryville Tuesday. Jordi James led the Bulldogs with three hits to go along with a pair of runs scored. Miranda Bartlett sent four runners home to lead the team. Six Sikeston players finished with two hits. Emma Drury pitched all seven innings. She allowed just three earned runs and struckout three while allowing a dozen hits.
GIRLS TENNIS
Kennett 9, Dexter 0
The Kennett girls tennis team handed the Dexter Bearcats their first loss of the season Tuesday, defeating them 9-0 in Kennett.
The Bearcats fell to 3-1.
In singles, Sydni McAtee beat No. 1 Jadyn Northcutt 8-2, Darcy Campbell beat No. 2 Abby Dorton 8-2, Emma Phillips beat No. 3 Malia Cook 8-2, Alexa Blankenship beat No. 4 Hannah Bollinger 8-0, Charolyn Harris beat No. 5 Maci McBride 8-0 and Taylor Hufford beat No. 6 Courtney Northcutt 8-3.
In doubles, McAtee/Campbell beat No. 1 Jadyn Northcutt/Dorton 8-0, Phillips/Blankenship beat No. 2 Cook/Bollinger 8-1 and Harris/Hufford beat No. 3 McBride/Courtney Northcutt 8-2.
