NEELYVILLE, Mo. - Neva Helen Walton Woolard, 97, died Monday, June 25, 2018 at her residence near Naylor, MO. Mrs. Woolard was born on July 21, 1920 near Ellsinore, MO. On March 25, 1938, she married her greatest love on earth, James Joseph "Jim" Woolard. They shared nearly 65 years of marriage until his death on December 13, 2002. Mrs. Woolard was a farmer's wife, homemaker and mother. She enjoyed fishing, gardening, working in her flower beds, spending time with her grandchildren, great grandchildren and being a mother. She loved her church, as she was a long time member of Palatka Church of Christ. She enjoyed attending baseball games and being a member of the Republican Women's Club in Ripley County.
Mrs. Woolard is survived by her son; J.C. "Butch" Woolard and wife Marilyn of Oxly, MO, her daughter; Carol Woolard Stull and husband Lloyd of the Naylor area, two sisters; Wanda Evanoff of Pittsburg, PA and Melba Mehelic of Pontoon Beach, IL, her grandchildren; James H. "Jim" Woolard, Jerred Woolard, Sara Dollins, James Daniel Williamson and Amber Adams and her great grandchildren; Beth Woolard, Brock Woolard, Bella Woolard, Beau Young, Bryce Dollins and Braiden Adams.
She was preceded in death by her parents; Chester and Laura Rash Walton, sisters; Elizabeth Webb, Ruth Walton and Laveda Walton, brothers; Glen Walton and Denny Walton.
Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m., Wednesday, June 27 at Fowler & Sons Funeral Home in Neelyville. The funeral will follow at 1 p.m. in the funeral home with Steve Sanders officiating. Burial will be in Black Cemetery in Success, AR. The family requests memorials be made to the Children's Home in Paragould, AR, 5515 Walcott Rd., Paragould, AR 77450.
