Larry R. Rennison, 76, of Poplar Bluff, Mo., entered his Eternal Home Tuesday, June 5, 2018 at St. Louis University Hospital.
Larry, the son of the late Claude and Vera Morrill Rennison, was born Oct. 26, 1941, in Doniphan, Mo. He was a member of Westwood Baptist Church and had retired as an auto mechanic and truck driver. Larry proudly served his country in the U.S. Army for nine years. He enjoyed his church and church family and listening to the Bible on CD's or when being read to. During his younger years before losing his sight he enjoyed woodworking.
Survivors include two brothers, Claude Richard Rennison of Springfield, Mo. and Lee Rennison of Kansas City, Kans.; four sisters, Virginia Corder of Hardy, Ark., Mary Hopkins and Vivian Hicks of Odessa, Mo. and Sue Archer of Poplar Bluff; and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
Three brothers, George, Jim and Joe Rennison and three sisters, Evelyn Long, Norma Towner and Marilyn Burnett also preceded Larry in death.
Visitation will begin at 8:30 a.m. Friday at Cotrell Funeral Chapel with the funeral service following at 9:30 a.m. Dr. Steve Proctor will officiate. Burial with full military honors will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Missouri State Veterans Cemetery in Bloomfield, Mo.
