Opal (Bunny) Sisk, 77 of Poplar Bluff went to be with the Lord Saturday, May 19, 2018 at her home.
She was born January 21, 1941 in Steele MO, daughter of Chester and Gladys Durham of Caruthersville, MO. Bunny was a member of Temple Baptist Church. She was a lifelong member of Beta Sigma Phi Sorority as well as the past president of Troop E Missouri State Troopers Association Auxiliary. Bunny retired from Butler County Recorder of Deeds office and was a book keeper for many years. Everyone that met Bunny was her friend. She never met a stranger and loved with her whole heart. Her husband, children and grandchildren were her world. She loved the Lord and had an amazing gift of hospitality.
Bunny is survived by her husband of 54 years, Charlie Sisk of Poplar Bluff, her son Steve Sisk of Poplar Bluff, her daughter Susan (Jimmy) Lemonds of Caruthersville, grandsons, Grant (Lindsey) Lemonds and Austin (Angela) Lemonds both of Poplar Bluff, and precious granddaughter Melodi-Roz Sisk of Poplar Bluff.
The family would like to thank all of the many friends and the church members of Temple Baptist Church for the food, prayers and love that has been shown.
Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at Temple Baptist Church, Barron Road in Poplar Bluff. Funeral Service will begin Wednesday at 1 p.m. at Temple Baptist Church with Pastor Steve Patterson officiating. Burial will follow at 3 p.m. at Missouri State Veterans Cemetery in Bloomfield.
