The City of Puxico Board of Alderman has set aside the first Friday and Saturday, May 4-5, as the time for the Spring Citywide Yard Sale. Time frame for these yard sale will be from 7 a.m. until 2 p.m. each day.

The Mayor and Board hopes as many residents as possible participate in these events. In order to accommodate those who wish to participate, the Mayor and the Board have set aside Veteran's Park and Memorial (South) Park for yard sale use on these days.

The city is compiling a list of addresses where yard sales will be located. This list of addresses along with a map of the city will be distributed to anyone who wants to know where he or she can find the yard sales. If you wish to have your name/address placed on the list of yard sales, please contact Patty Cooper at City Hall, 222-3162, by May 1. If you want a copy of the yard sale addresses list and city map, you may pick one up at City Hall after May 1. They will also be available at various businesses and yard sales around the city.

In Memorial Park, participants may use the pavilion and the basketball court for display of items for sale. In Veteran's Park the stage area and the ground area on the south end of the park may be used. Participants must call City Hall at 222-3162, during business hours Monday-Friday, 7:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m. to register to use a specific park for their yard sale. Once the participant has registered, the actual area within the park that is used by that participant is based on whoever gets there first to set up his/her yard sale items.

The City is not responsible for any items left in the parks overnight. The Mayor and the Board also ask anyone who sets up in a park for the yard sale clean up the area that was used before leaving at the end of the yard sale.
