WINONA, Mo. -- Jordan Cook pitched a no-hitter for Naylor (4-3) as the Eagles beat Winona 10-0 in five innings.
Cook needed just 60 pitches to get the job done and struck out seven. A solitary walk kept him from a perfect game.
Winona committed six errors and Naylor scored four runs in both the third and fourth innings. Seth Jones and Evan Bergereon were both 1 for 3 with two runs. Eli Roark was 1 for 3 and drove in three runs. Cody Jones also had three RBIs.
New Madrid Central 8, Bernie 7
The Mules scored three runs in the sixth, but couldn't climb all the way back after trailing 8-4 after five innings.
Gavin Brown and Jaden McGowan were both 1 for 3 with two runs for Bernie (4-3). Nate Dillinger, Weston Zoll and Johnny Vaughn all had two hits while Zoll drove in three runs.
Doniphan 7, Clearwater 5
The Dons (6-3) led 5-0 after two innings and 7-0 going into the sixth, but needed to hold on late. Jake Eddington pitched five innings in the win and allowed three hits and five walks with 10 strikeouts for Clearwater (9-3). Alex Littrell threw the final two for Doniphan and allowed two hits and three walks with four strikeouts.
Jake Eddington was 3 for 3 with three runs and two RBIs for the Dons.
Trey Rivers scored twice for Clearwater after drawing three walks and getting a hit to reach base in all four at bats.
SOFTBALL
East Carter 18, Campbell 0
Makenna Moore struck out eight over six innings and allowed one hit and one walk in a complete-game shutout.
Naomi Crowley, Payton Gholson and Moore all scored three times and had two hits. Gholson also got three RBIs and Moore had two. East Carter (6-2) scored nine runs in the sixth inning.
Bernie 9, New Madrid 1
Alyson Marcum struck out 13 over five innings and didn't give up a hit or a walk. Cassidy Freed pitched the final two innings for Bernie and allowed two hits and a walk with one strikeout.
Bernie (12-1) jumped ahead with four runs in the first inning and scored in every inning but the second. Marcum was 3 for 4 with a run. Logan Mayberry was 2 for 4 with three RBIs while McKayla Turner and Freed also had two hits.
Puxico 4, Twin Rivers 2
Kayt Haynes struck out 10 and allowed three hits and a walk for Puxico (5-5). Kylie Miller was 2 for 4 with a run and an RBI while Kaiti Payne and Victoria Burch also had two hits and an RBI.
Hannah Eddy and Allison Baggett, who was pinch running for Madison Chaves, scored for Twin Rivers (2-4).
Van Buren 5, Greenville 1
Makenna Chilton was 2 for 3 with a double and a home run for the Lady Dawgs (6-1). Courtney Tripp tripled and Logan Crafton doubled. Jalynn Morgan allowed four hits and no walks with eight strikeouts in the win.
