Authorities are seeking information on the whereabouts of a Poplar Bluff, Mo., woman and her young daughter who were reported missing earlier this week.

On Tuesday, family members of Sara Brown, 32, contacted the Poplar Bluff Police Department to report she had left a family member's residence on March 7 with her 1-year-old daughter, Geneva Genova, according to a press release from Lt. Josh Stewart.

Brown, who had been staying at her sister's Peggy Street residence since moving from the Kansas City, Mo., area, has not been heard from since, said Detective Joey Woodruff.

"Family members advised that they last spoke with Brown on March 16, 2018, by phone; however, she refused to provide her location," Stewart said. "Family members expressed concern for Brown and her child due to Brown's increased paranoia and mental instability."

Stewart said family members investigated and believe Brown to be in the Osage Beach, Mo., area.

Investigators, Stewart said, confirmed this information and still are trying to locate Brown.

Brown is described as being 5 feet 2 inches tall and weighing 120 pounds, with brown hair and eyes.

Geneva has blonde hair and blue eyes.

Stewart said Brown is believed to be traveling in a white Cadillac CTS, with license plate No. CL2-G5X.

Anyone with information about Brown's whereabouts is asked to call the police department at 573-785-5776.
