The staff of the Delta Area Economic Opportunity Corporation Head Start/Early Head Start is hosting its annual book drive. It will take place during the month of March to recognize National Literacy Month. If you have new or gently used books for children ages birth-5 years old, please donate them. You may drop books off at Central Office or your local Head Start Center at any time.
Community members are encouraged to drop off books at one of the 21 DAEOC Head Start/ Early Head Start locations in Southeast Missouri.
All donated books are used at the Lending Libraries in the Head Start/Early Head Start Centers. The lending libraries provide a source for children to borrow age appropriate books to take home to read and enjoy with their family without charge.
DAEOC is a not for profit community action agency whose services include operation of 21 Head Start/ Early Head Start Locations throughout the lower six counties of Southeast Missouri.
