PIEDMONT -- Doniphan won third place in the Ozark Foothills Conference tournament after a hot start against Naylor.
The Dons led by nine after the first quarter and by 13 going into the fourth before holding on for the win.
Klay Barton led Doniphan (10-15) with 29 points, including three 3-pointers and an 8 for 12 night at the foul line. Trent Lippoldt added 17 points.
Barton sank all three of his 3-pointers in the first quarter and had 13 of Doniphan's 22 points in the frame. He had nine points in the fourth quarter, five of them at the foul line.
Zeke Ward scored 26 points for Naylor (7-12) and Jordan Cook had 12.

Callee Pickrell led the Eagles with 25 points, including a 3-pointer for the center. Maddy Cagle sank five 3-pointers and finished with 18 points as Naylor (8-11) won third place in the Ozark Foothills Conference tournament.
Cagle powered the offense early with a trio of 3s in the first quarter while Pickrell only had two points.
The Pickrell got going with 12 points in the second.
Paige Eddington had 21 points for Doniphan (13-11). She five of the Donettes' eight points in the fourth quarter.
