BROSELEY, MO. -- Jerry Wendell Gordon was born March 29, 1958, at Campbell, MO., the son of Raymond Wendell Gordon and Zelma Ruth (Parks) Gordon.

He passed away Jan. 13, 2018, at Broseley at the age of 59 years.

Jerry was united in marriage to Anna Pettypool on March 14, 2006, at Dexter, Mo.

Jerry was preceded in death by one niece, Aleasha Harris, and one great-nephew, Dalton Trout.

Jerry is survived by his wife, Anna Pettypool, of Dexter, Mo.; his parents, Raymond and Zelma Gordon of Broseley; two sons, Adam Gordon, and wife, Kara, of Bernie, Mo., and Chad Gordon and wife, Tracy, of Washington; two step-daughters, Ashley Whitt of Springfield, Mo., and Jessica Pettypool of Poplar Bluff, Mo.,; two brothers, Clifford Gordon and wife, Tammy, of Broseley and Kevin Gordon and wife, Mamie, of Fisk, Mo.; two sisters, Rita Trout and husband, Gary, of Dexter and Becky Harris of Fisk; six grandchildren, Kaylee Gordon, Abbie Gordon, Josiah Gordon, Destiny Jackson, Bently Westmoreland, Xander Westmoreland; many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and a host of friends.

Jerry graduated from Twin Rivers High School in 1976. He worked for several years as an operator at Federal Mogul in Malden, Mo. Jerry later began working as a heavy equipment operator with The Drainage District in Stoddard County and later was employed at the Ken Minton Farms in Dexter. Jerry enjoyed being in the outdoors, and spent his childhood going fishing and hunting with his parents, and brothers and sisters. He enjoyed hunting and collecting arrowheads. Jerry enjoyed spending time with his family. He was a wonderful son, brother, husband, father and grandfather. He will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved him.

Visitation will be from 10-11 a.m. Saturday at the Elk General Baptist Church at Broseley. Memorial Services will follow with the Rev. Johnny Meese officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Duncan Funeral Home, LLC of Mountain View, Mo.
