GLENNONVILLE, Mo. -- Peggy Deloma (Larmie) Gass, 82, of Poplar Bluff, Mo., died Friday, Jan. 12, 2018, at Hunter Acres Caring Center in Sikeston, Mo.
She was born June 5, 1935 in Poplar Bluff to Chester Larmie and Tula (Perry) Larmie. She was a lifelong resident of Poplar Bluff and was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church.
She married Henry Bernard Gass of Campbell, Mo., in 1976. She was a housewife who had a beautiful smile. She had a beautiful voice and loved to sing hymns. She loved helping people and drinking Pepsi cola. She had many friends with whom she loved to spend time.
Peggy is survived by three sisters; Pat Brooks (Randy) of Auburndale, Fla.; Garnell Friend and Barbara Swofford of Winter Haven, Fla. One brother, Robert Larmie, lives in Poplar Bluff, MO. She had many nieces and nephews.
Peggy was preceded in death by her husband Henry; parents Chester and Tula Larmie; three brothers Tex, Dewey, and Chettie Larmie; one sister Phyllis Anne Larmie; as well as two brothers-in-law, Joe Swofford and Bob Friend and one sister-in-law, Shirley Larmie.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at St. Teresa's Catholic Church in Glennonville, Mo. Visitation will be from 10-11 a.m. with funeral mass to follow at the church with Father William Hennecke officiating. She will be interred at St. Teresa's Cemetery in Glennonville.
Landess Funeral Home of Campbell, Mo., is in charge of local arrangements.
