Cane Creek Community Club's December meeting was in the home of Wilma Rains with five members present. Rains served a delicious lunch of soup, salad and pecan pie as dessert.
The meeting was opened by Rains, the new president. After the Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag was recited by a members, Rains asked for the November minutes. Marie Boxx read the minutes prepared by Glenda Phillips. Rains gave the treasurer report.
Roll call was answered with "Where were you when you heard about Pearl Harbor?" - Dec. 7, 1941.
Nancy Wujcik's game was very interesting and appropriate as it pertained to Christmas carols. Wujcik would give clues to the carol and after guessing which one - they sang that carol. This year's theme is "Have a Purpose & Keep Active". The program was putting 2018 membership booklet updates. Glenda Phillips provided new booklets.
January's meeting will be the 10th at Twin Towers at 11 a.m. with Wujcik as hostess. Roll call will be "#1 goal for the next six months." Glenda Phillips will have the program - "Have a Purpose."
