NEELYVILLE, Mo. -- Jerry Leon Franklin Sr., 55, of Poplar Bluff, passed away Saturday, Nov. 11, 2017 at his home.
Jerry was born Oct. 10, 1962 in Poplar Bluff. He worked in construction for Bridge Construction. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, building and woodworking. He was of the Baptist faith and a lifelong resident of Butler County.
Jerry is survived by two children Jerry Franklin Jr. and wife Shelby of Jackson, Mo., Deidre Joy Todd and husband Jeff of Elsinore, Mo.; father, David Franklin of Poplar Bluff; sisters: Mary Kirkly and husband Mark, Peggy Green all of Poplar Bluff; brothers: David Cox and wife Debbie of Poplar Bluff, Billy Cox and wife Vicki of Poplar Bluff, Randy Steele and wife Tracy of Fairdealing: as well as seven grandchildren.
Preceding him in death is his son, David Franklin; mother, Velta Cox Franklin; sister, Rhonda Sheppard and brother-in-law Wayne Sheppard.
Visitation will be at 6 p.m., Wednesday, Nov. 15, 2017 at the Fowler & Sons Funeral Home in Neelyville. Funeral will be at 10 a.m., Thursday, in the chapel with Donnie Fowler officiating. Burial will take place at Lone Hill Cemetery in Poplar Bluff, Mo.
