Charles Howard 73, of Poplar Bluff passed away Monday, Sept. 25, 2017 at Saint Louis University Hospital in St. Louis Mo.
He was born on May 5, 1944 in Cape Girardeau to the late Charles and Ethel (Burns) Howard. He retired as a chief engineer on the river boat after 48 years of service. He loved working on cars, working around the house with his wife Geneva, fishing, and being a devoted family man. He attended the South Side Assembly Of God in Poplar Bluff. He dearly loved his church and his church family.
Surviving is his wife, Mary Geneva Howard of the home; sons Kayden Howard of the home, and Ronnie Cochran of Poplar Bluff; one sister, Marilyn May of Iron Mountain Mo.; one brother, Don Howard of Jackson, Mo.; and many nieces and nephews also survive.
He was also preceded in death by a son, Gary Howard, and two brothers, Bill and Jack Howard.
Visitation will begin at 10 a.m. Friday, Sept. 29, 2017 at Fowler-Sullivan Funeral Home in Poplar Bluff. Funeral service will follow at 11 a.m. in the funeral home chapel with Pastor Jerry Lemons officiating. Internment will follow in the Brown Chapel Cemetery at Broseley, Mo.
