Hefner Furniture & Appliance is in the process of adding a new upscale furniture option for the area.
According to Hefner Furniture & Appliance owner Slug Hefner, a new generation of Ashley Home Store will take over the building next to the main furniture store. "This is a new generation of Ashley Home Store," Hefner said. "This is the latest and greatest in home design."
Already being an Ashley Furniture dealer, Hefner said adding the Ashley Home Store under his belt will allow the store to carry exclusive pieces only an Ashley Home Store can receive.
"These pieces will be state of the art in looks, design and value," he said.
Hefner is proud of the fact his store has always been able to bring customers all the top brand names in furniture such as Thomasville, La-Z-Boy, Bassett, Flexsteel and many more. He went on to say the addition of Ashley Home Store will bring even more high-end options for customers.
"We are constantly changing and upgrading displays," he said.
According to Hefner, he always knew he would do something with the building next to Hefner Furniture & Appliance, and after weighing the options, Ashley Home Store made the most sense.
Since 2012, the building has been used as an extension of the Hefner's Furniture store as opposed to the outlet store.
Bringing about five new jobs to the area, the 20,000 square foot building will house a complete showroom of new generation pieces for every room in a home except the kitchen.
The exterior of the building will receive a facelift while the interior of the building will be converted from a "warehouse feel" to a detailed furnishings showroom.
"We are working full time on it (the building) now," Hefner said. "We are about eight weeks out from being finished. The building will look different, but you will have to wait and see."
