If asked, "Do you believe the Bible?" You would quickly answer, "Of course, I do." Then you believe Psalms 119:89: "Forever, O Lord, Thy word is settled in heaven." Obviously this means God has spoken to man, and his will and plan for man's salvation as revealed in the word is unchangeable. Do you faithfully obey that Word? Or are you guided by man-made church doctrines? Jesus said, "He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; he that believeth not shall be damned." Mark 15:16. Have you believed upon Christ and obeyed his command? He also said. "Except you repent, you shall all likewise perish." Luke 13:2-5. Have you repented? Again he said, "Whosoever therefore shall confess me before men, him will I confess before my father which is in heaven. But he that denieth me before men, him will I also deny before my father which is in heaven." Matthew 10:32-33. Have you publicly acknowledged your faith in him? The Bible says, "Study to show thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth." II Timothy 2:15. Do you study the Bible diligently that you may know what it says? Or are you content to live by what you think it says? "Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your father which is in heaven," said Jesus. Matthew 5:16. Is your life being lived in such a way as to cause others to glorify God?
