Clarkey Jane Bowden Holden, 87, of Bonita Springs, Fla. formerly of Peoria, Ill. left this world on Sunday, Aug. 20, 2017.
She was born in Poplar Bluff, Mo. to Herschel A. Bowden and Dorothy Marie Clark Bowden on April 22, 1930.
Clarkey and Donald L. Holden were the parents of three children: Amy, Susan and Peter Holden. She is survived by her daughter, Amy (Ken) Koch of Tremont, Ill. and her son, Peter L. Holden of North Pekin, Ill.; six grandchildren: Jamie (John) Dill, Joel (Natasha) Koch, Sarah (Chad) Hooley, Sam Koch, Joshua Sisler and Benjamin Sisler; Eight great-grandchildren: Parker, Brady, Grayson, Mia, Isla Dill and Michael, Olivia and Connor Hooley.
Also surviving are three brothers, Herschel A. Bowden, Tom (Peggy) Bowden and Charles David (Dorothy) Bowden.
She was preceded in death by her daughter, Susan (John) Sisler.
Clarkey was a charter member of Trinity Presbyterian Church in Bartonville, IL and attended First Presbyterian Church in Bonita Springs, FL.
A graveside memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Oct. 28 in Poplar Bluff, Mo.
