BROSELEY, Mo. - "The best preparation for tomorrow is doing your best today," a quote by author H. Jackson Brown Jr., was selected, very appropriately, by the Twin Rivers Class of 2017 co-salutatorian Holden Ray Morse, as words of advice for his fellow graduates.

Morse wasn't named co-salutatorian of this year's graduating class until after the commencement ceremony due to an error in grade calculation.

"The week following our high school graduation, a college instructor notified us that an error had been made when grades were sent to the high school," Twin rivers High School Principal Misti Lovelace said. "The corrected grades resulted in a change in our salutatorian position. We now have co-salutatorians, Alyssa Riley and Holden Morse."

Because the discrepancy wasn't discovered until post-graduation, Morse didn't receive recognition for his accomplishment and Lovelace said she hopes he garners the recognition he deserves.

Superintendent Jeremy Siebert said he wishes Morse the best of luck and congratulations from everyone at Twin Rivers.

Morse was raised in Qulin, Mo., and is the son of Larry and Amy Morse. He plans to attend Three Rivers College to pursue a major in agriculture business.
