DEXTER, Mo. -- Glen Arthur Gipson, 94, son of the late Bert Truman Gipson and Lucy Ann Hickson Gipson was born on Jan. 17, 1923 in Parma, Mo. and departed this life on May 6, 2017 at the Parkwood Assistant Living Center at Surprise, Ariz. Mr. Gipson was a veteran of the United States Army and served in WWII. He later became a farmer and enjoyed it all the way up to his retirement...

DEXTER, Mo. -- Glen Arthur Gipson, 94, son of the late Bert Truman Gipson and Lucy Ann Hickson Gipson was born on Jan. 17, 1923 in Parma, Mo. and departed this life on May 6, 2017 at the Parkwood Assistant Living Center at Surprise, Ariz.

Mr. Gipson was a veteran of the United States Army and served in WWII. He later became a farmer and enjoyed it all the way up to his retirement.

On Feb. 12, 1949, he was united in marriage to Nola Irene Fauller. Mrs. Gipson survives of their home in Sun City West, Ariz.

Besides his wife, he is survived by one daughter, Vicky Lynn Hansen and her husband, Larry of Surprise, Ariz.; one brother, William Gipson of Pensacola, Fla.; two sisters, Patricia Mouser of St. Charles, Ill. and Shirley Ann Conley of Peoria, Ariz.

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by one grandson, Thomas Glen Ray; one brother, Marvin Gipson; and three sisters, Reba Boatwright, Pauline Wolfrum and Bearldean Crawford.

Friends may call at the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter from 12:30 p.m. until 2:30 p.m. Friday, May 12, 2017. Funeral services will then be conducted at 2:30 p.m. Friday, May 12, 2017 in the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Chapel in Dexter with Rev. Greg McGhee officiating. Interment will follow in the Dexter City Cemetery.
