PIEDMONT -- Trey Rivas roped a line-drive, walk-off single to give the Clearwater baseball team a 7-6 victory over Lesterville in eight innings Monday.
Tied at 6-all, Stephen Martino, Fynnegan Cooper and Kameron Fay all drew one-out walks to load the bases in the final frame before Rivas' game-winner for Clearwater (9-8).
Tony Kruithoff was 3 for 3 with an RBI while Heath Ayers, Gage Keller and Tanner Wilkins each added two hits.
Martino struck out two allowing two runs (one earned) in two innings of relief to get the win. Jessie Holmes started and allowed three unearned runs on four hits with four strikeouts while Cooper had a strikeout, two walks and allowed one run in an inning of relief.
Malden 2, Saxony Lutheran 1
The Green Wave took the lead late and held off the Crusaders for a one-run victory at home.
Tye Miller pitched the final 1 2/3 innings to be credited with the win for Malden (11-13). He gave up one unearned run on zero hits, struck out two and walked none.
Neelyville 11, Campbell 4
Chaney Trout, Matt Dollins and Wyatt Moon all hit doubles and drove in runs as the Tigers beat the Camels at home.
Dollins and Carter Petty were each 2 for 2 with a pair of RBIs while Trout went 2 for 3 with one RBI. Jesse Griffin, Tyler Lowe and Drayden French each had a hit for Neelyville (10-14).
Peyton Hobbs struck out seven and allowed two runs on four hits to get the win. Dollins struck out one and walked one in two innings of relief.
Dexter 9, Portageville 4
Bearcat leadoff hitter Trevor McDonald finished 3 for 4 with a double, three runs and two RBIs to lead the Dexter (9-11) offense. Spencer Owens also had three hits, scored once and drove in one, as well.
Hunter Parrott pitched seven efficient innings and 98 pitches in all. He allowed seven hits and three walks with nine strikeouts.
Bloomfiled 13, Neelyville 3
The Wildcats (10-11) scored eight runs in the fifth and sixth combined to run-rule the Tigers in six innings.
Dalton Phillips scored four runs for Bloomfield and finished 2 for 3 with a walk. Gage McNeil was 1 for 3 with three runs and Alex Gibbs was 2 for 3 with two runs and four RBIs.
McNeil also got the win on the mound after pitching four innings. He allowed sixh hits and three walks with seven strikeouts. Jacob Hector gave up one walk and no hits with four strikeouts in relief.
Chaney Trout, Peyton Hobbs and Jesse Griffin each scored a run for Neelyville. Trout and Griffin also had two hits each and Griffin drove in two runs.
