Bloomfield won the MSHSAA Class 1 District 1 golf title Tuesday while Dexter's Spencer Warren advanced to the Class 3 sectional. Bloomfield won the MSHSAA Class 1 District 1 golf title Tuesday while Dexter's Spencer Warren advanced to the Class 3 sectional.

In Class 1 at Viburnum Golf & Country Club, Peyton Bell placed second, four shots behind medalist Tyler Andrews of Crystal City, but the Wildcats got a second golfer in the top 10 with Holden Duckworth and took the team title by 21 strokes.

Bell shot 11-over-par 83 while Duckworth's 93 tied for seventh. Dustin Debeaux (110) and Brant Hobbs (110) tied for 14th while Levi Clary was a shot back at 16th, tied for Crystal City's No. 3 score.

Carson Miles of Advanced placed fifth at 88 to reach the sectional tournament.

Miles and the Wildcats advance to play the sectional at Payne Stewart Golf Course in Springfield, Missouri on Monday.

In Class 3 at Fox Haven Country Club in Sikeston, Warren tied for sixth at 11-over-par 82 but the Bearcats placed eighth as a team and Tristan Ash missed the sectional cut by a stroke.

Nick Westrich of Farmington earned medalist honors at 1-over 72.

Ash shot 101 for 26th while Bradley Freeman tied for 37th at 108. Scott Strickler (110) was 39th and Jakob Harris (124) finished 44th for Dexter.

Notre Dame beat Farmington 333-338 for the team title. Dexter finished at 411, five shots behind Perryville.

In Class 2, Malden's Corey Prentice and Garrett Rackley advanced to the sectional along with Clearwater's Ethan Jameson.

Prentice shot 105 to place 16th while Rackley was 22nd at 120. Jameson placed 23rd at 123. All three will play at Dalhousie Country Club in Cape Girardeau at the sectional next week.
