Gagging on city's disgusting water

[EMAIL] Poplar Bluff is so worried & concerned about all these dog parks, skateboard parks, the almighty new football field, that has practically doubled our taxes recently and spending time and money on the Downtown Development that will probably end up dead in the water! When are we going to wake up and start worrying about the nasty, brown, stinky & disgusting water that is contaminating our bodies?!?! The State standard has supposedly been raised but they are doing the "so called" improvements, or so they say, in stages as slow as molasses instead of immediately like it needs to be!!

I could smell and taste the filth when drinking water out of the tap so I switched to drinking bottled water and the difference in taste was like night and day! The other day, I accidentally took a sip from the faucet, not really paying much attention to what I was doing and I literally gagged on the smell and taste! It tasted like the sewer smells! I couldn't spit it out fast enough!

We pay these high dollar water bills and have to add the expense of buying bottled water on top of the already ridiculous prices they're charging us every month! They should either lower our water bills or give us a monetary allotment to purchase bottled water!!

I've started to think that some of my health issues could be related to the cesspool of "so called" water I've been drinking! I've also noticed in the short time I've been drinking the bottled water, I drink much more than I did and I feel better too!

We need our water fixed PDQ before we all drop like flies from that poison! We need to wake up people and get the word out about how disgusting & nasty this water is and trust me, we are paying DEARLY for it with our bodies and our wallets!

I can't really afford the added expense of purchasing bottled water all the time, but in turn, I can't afford to continue to allow this nasty water situation to affect my health either! We have even switched our 2 fur babies over to the bottled water because there's no telling what kind of negative effects that the contaminants in this disgusting water is having on their little bodies!
