Just another concerned citizen talking about how broke the city is, but seems to me that we can pay the overtime and extra fees and stuff for now a motorcycle pass through in our great city of Poplar Bluff that our city is going broke on, of course. But what is the deal? Spend money for crap like that, but not for a parade of kids that somebody could really enjoy or do we have to honor the dead or something . . . this is ridiculous. It should be one even deal for everybody in this country and especially in this town, but it certainly doesn't seem that way any more.

Speak Out, it should be obvious to anyone that can read that crimes have been committed at the highest level in the city of Poplar Bluff. Isn't it time for the DAR to interview those members of the council that chose to hire Mr. Kaplan and give him free rein with the city's purse strings? Those who boasted about how wonderful his qualifications were. How hard it was to find someone with his history and his qualifications and that was why they had to pay him so much money--so much more than the man who had been at the helm for so long and basically done well and was wrongly accused of nefarious deeds.

I believe that woman needs to make a public apology to Mr. Bagby, to the citizens of Poplar Bluff and I believe if she's financially able she needs to personally make a right the financial wrong that was done to the city in Poplar Bluff.

I get it that she's sick. Everybody's got something wrong with them. Maybe she is, maybe she isn't, but the point is being sick doesn't make you right. Being sick does not make you innocent.

You walk in a bank and rob it and I don't care if you've got a 10 day death sentence, you will go to jail.

Hello. The five generation picture (you printed) is fraudulent. The mother and the baby are in no way related to the other three people in the picture. This is just another example of this family's efforts to get attention or financial gain.

I'm sorry but there is no financial gain in a five generation picture. Thank you.

On 9-11 evening five lady friends went to Hayden's to eat supper. We went to pay the bills and some gentleman had already paid them. So we just wanted the gentleman to know we ladies really appreciated the thought. You made our evening! Thank you.

Hello, Speak Out. That was a really nice article about the drug bust and all the drug dealers --how about follow-up story? Maybe 10 days later? See how many are still in jail. What do you think? Any? I doubt it. Hey, it's all about collecting a little revenue and confiscating a little property. It's not about puttin' 'em out of business. It's all about the money. The attorneys will do well. The judges . . . the police officers will get their kudos for catching all those horrible people. How come they couldn't ever catch 'em when they were stealing s*** to pay for their dope? Duh! What side of the story are you all keeping up with?
