Why sharp
gas increase?
Today is Wednesday Oct. 26th. This morning gas at Kroger in Poplar Bluff was $3.09. I just went to lunch at 11 a.m. and the gas price at Kroger is now $3.25. I work with about 30 people, and several are complaining about the sharp increase. Why did gas prices increase 16 cents in just a few hours? Oil prices fell 53 cents yesterday to $110.92 a barrel. Gas prices should go down, not up. I think the residents of Poplar Bluff are being screwed by these gas stations. It takes months for them to bring the price down 5 cents and yet they increase gas by 16 cents in a few hours. I'm sick of gas station owners saying they do not make money on gas. Oh, really, then why do you increase prices so quickly and bring down the prices so slowly? I'm sick of this folks. They increased gas prices a few months ago when there was speculation of a really bad hurricane and as we all know, the hurricane didn't cause any of the damage they predicted. And yet, it took weeks for them to bring down gas prices. The only reason I can think of for raising gas 16 cents is rain is predicted tonight.
