Grandin Library will remain open for now, thanks to community response

GRANDIN Thanks to community response, it looks like the Grandin Public Library will not have to shut its doors... for now. Earlier in the month Donna Sutton, library director for the Carter County Library, took to social media and posted a grave message: All you Grandin people. The library in Grandin has had very little circulation for over a year and we are giving the library over February 29 to pick up, or we will have to unfortunately have to close the library in Grandin....

Like other trainings, CPR training is another tool to keep in your toolbox for when you need it, Scott Douglas explained. Joshua McIrvin, 23, of Poplar Bluff was arrested at 1:13 a.m. Friday, Feb. 16, on Vincent Street. McIrvin was booked on a Probation and Parole warrant for a probation violation (no bond) and a Butler County warrant for a probation violation/possession of a controlled substance (bond $20,000). McIrvin was also booked on the charges of possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia, and lodged in the Butler County jail...
