Linda Diane Boyer, 62, of Lakeland, Florida, died Wednesday, Oct.26, 2022 at Lakeland Regional Hospital, in Lakeland. Ms. Boyer was born May 11, 1960 in Wooster, Ohio, daughter of the late William Alfred and Norma Evalyn Boyer. Ms. Boyer received her bachelor’s degree from Akron, Ohio. She was employed with General Motors as a finance manager. She was caretaker to her parents and her brother for several years before they preceded her in death...

Missouri’s registered voters are asked to consider a number of proposals at the polls Tuesday, Nov.8. Among them is Missouri Constitutional Amendment 5, which if approved, creates a state Department of the National Guard. Missouri’s federal election on Nov. 8 will look different than the primary elections from August — but not as different as some worry. Gov. Mike Parson signed HB 1878 into law earlier this summer. Among other things, the new law requires valid photo ID, allows address changes as late as election day and discontinues mail-in ballots. Absentee and provisional ballots are allowed.
