Poplar Bluff R-1 held a special session Thursday afternoon to reevaluate the previously approved tax rate for 2019.

City firefighters responded at 7:21 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 28, to a report of an unauthorized burn in the are of Second and Cedar streets. According to the report, firefighters found the occupants at Cain Holloway’s 1021 Second St. residence were burning carpet. Firefighters told them about the city’s burn ordinance and used 10 gallons of water to put out the fire...
