DONIPHAN, Mo. — Darlene Elizabeth Blackwell, 77, of Aurora, Mo., formerly of Ripley County, died Friday, June 7, 2019 in the Hartville Care Center in Hartville, Mo. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, June 11 at 1 p.m. in the Edwards Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. John Harwell officiating. Burial will be in the Hunt-White Memorial Gardens Cemetery.

POPLAR BLUFF, Mo. — Carolyn Sue Reed, 73, of Poplar Bluff, died Friday, June 7, 2019 at Saint Francis Hospital in Cape Girardeau, Mo. Visitation will begin at 11 a.m. Wednesday, June 12 at Fitch Hillis Funeral Home Chapel. The funeral service will follow at noon with Elder Robert Duckett officiating. Burial will be at Memorial Gardens Cemetery.

POPLAR BLUFF, Mo. — Patricia Kay Deaton, 54, of Poplar Bluff, died Friday, June 7, 2019 at her residence. Her services will be held at Fitch-Hillis Funeral Home on Thursday, June 13. Visitation will be at 11 a.m. with the funeral following at noon. Burial will immediately follow at the Poplar Bluff City Cemetery.

I wish to praise and give a public thank you to an unknown trash collector of Eldridge Trash Service. He took the time and effort to pick up all the scattered trash a stray cat scattered around the containers. It is a lesson for me to secure the containers better. The gentleman did more than haul away trash. I have send a letter to Eldridge Trash Services thanking and praising his thoughtfulness...
