By BARBARA HORTON News Editor The closure of Perkins Restaurant and Bakery, 2121 N. Westwood Blvd., Sunday night is being blamed on the downturn in the economy. Customers, as well as the 32 people employed by the eatery, were surprised to learn it was closing immediately. The restaurant and GuestHouse International Hotel are both owned by Dr. and Mrs. Alex Hoja of Poplar Bluff, Mo. The hotel will remain open, but presently there are no plans for the food service area...
