How did Mansion Mall in Poplar Bluff get named?

The grand mansion stood its ground amongst the budding retail establishments of the Mansion Mall Shopping Center expansion during the late 1960s and 1970s. It housed a couple of different restaurants over the years. The mansion was razed in the late 1970s, early 1980s to make way for new retail growth.

Throughout the early to mid 2000s the Mansion Mall Shopping Center was redeveloped and new construction began. It was later named Mansion Mall Commons then Mansion Mall Marketplace.

Today, the Mansion Mall shopping area is dotted with its main mall and several other strip mall complexes along with stand-alone retail establishments. Many well-known restaurants add to Mansion Mall's popularity as a destination for many area shoppers. The mall area continues to see growth each year.
