New DAR series to feature best of our region
Only in My Hometown is a new occasional series for the Daily American Republic to highlight families, events and activities unique to our, and your, region.
It will run on Saturdays and share positive stories about the strength and resiliency of our residents, moments when we gather to support our community or neighbors, or those times we come together for a little fun that can only be found here.
Mighty Max, a little boy who might never have been without the strength of his parents, and his own will, seemed like a fitting start to what we hope will be a series our readers find inspiring and uplifting.
While Mighty Max is from Poplar Bluff, we hope to also feature stories from all of the towns in area. This includes Butler, Carter, Dunklin, Reynolds, Ripley, Stoddard and Wayne counties.
If you have suggestions for Only in My Hometown, or just want to tell us why you love your town, please email me at dfarley@darnews.com.
