Take a vacation on us

As we drive down the May highway to June, a lot of you are probably looking to plan a couple of weekend getaways this summer. The Daily American Republic wants to help you pay for a portion of your trip.

We are conducting a “Take A Vacation On Us” campaign, and we are giving away several vacation packages. We will have a drawing for a vacation package every two weeks starting June 3, and continuing through July 29. Five trips in all will be given away.

These giveaways include a two-night stay at Hilton-owned hotels in the United States, Canada, and around the world for two adults and up to three children. And if you play golf or snow ski, it includes a voucher for up to $160 for those activities.

How can you win? It’s simple. Come to the DAR’s office in downtown Poplar Bluff and learn about our circulation special, and while there, sign up for the trip. No purchase is required, though there may only be one winner per household and one form filled out per customer.

We have lowered our circulation prices to help celebrate this vacation giveaway. You can purchase a year’s subscription for $99 (regularly $135), six months for $51.50 (regularly $72.50), or three months for $31.75 (regularly $38).

There are no gimmicks with these trips. You don’t have to listen to a sales pitch when you arrive at your destination and it’s not a timeshare of any kind. You book your trip online, get approved, and you’re on your way.

The trips can serve as a weekend trip or as part of a larger trip. Either way, it’s free.

And when you return home, you can enjoy the DAR for many weeks and months.
